Oh, hai there.

So I’m not dead.

Not much been goin’ on recently, so nothing to write about, recently.

So I bought myself a 24″ monitor and it’s lovely. There’s something quite satisfying about opening a web page that uses maybe 300 pixels horizontally on my 1920×1200 screen, knowing that all that extra space is going to waste. It’s like having loads and loads of food and then only eating some but rather than giving it to African kids you just keep it but don’t eat it. Awesome.

So I’m gonna start my “IMDb Summer Challenge 2008″ on Monday. I planned on doing this last year but I failed, so I didn’t write about it. The plan is to watch 42 movies from IMDb’s top 250 list in 6 weeks. Watching the films isn’t much of a challenge, obviously, but choosing 42 films out of 250 is quite hard, as there’s a lot o’ shit on that there top 250 list. Look at The Godfather, what a terrible film. So yeah I plan on (yeah, right) writing about every film I watch. We’ll see.

I also plan on coding some shit, and watching SG-1 s06-s10 again. We’ll see.

So I was in Glasgow for a few days as a nice wee break from Perth. I went to IKEA and had hot dogs and chips and I was going to buy some puppets but decided against it when there was a massive queue with over 9000 people in it. I also bought a T-Shirt that says “Alliance” on it and it has the Alliance crest it’s awesome you should buy one. And I bought me some new guitar strings as my old ones were fucking stinking.

Oh yeah I got a guitar and I’m learning, it’s coming along quite nicely. It’s only a Squier Strat, but it’s a cheap and cheerful guitar untill I choose to get a better one. Using a Line6 TonePort USB interface instead of an amp, it’s not convenient but damn it’s awesome. I’m even in a band I’m that awesome. Our drummer has never played drums. I maed a logo lol:
